    EXANODIA is an innovative startup founded in 2023 in Lyon, specializing in AI-assisted Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). We develop cutting-edge solutions to automate and ensure reliable industrial inspections, especially through the analysis of radiographic images and other NDT data. Our work spans demanding industries such as nuclear, aerospace, oil & gas, and naval, where precision and safety are paramount.

    Internship Description:

    As part of our growth, we are looking for a Master’s student or engineering school intern to explore and optimize the performance of our defect detection models on radiographic images. You will be tasked with proposing, testing, and implementing innovative approaches to improve the accuracy, speed, and robustness of our computer vision algorithms.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Exploration of new model architectures: Study and implement various machine learning architectures (CNN, GANs, transformers, etc.) to enhance defect detection capabilities.
    • Performance optimization: Improve existing pipelines, particularly processing speed, robustness to data variations, and prediction accuracy.
    • Image processing and data analysis: Work on segmentation, classification, and anomaly detection on radiographic images.
    • Experimentation and validation: Test models on large datasets and perform cross-validation to ensure the reliability of the proposed solutions.
    • Collaboration with technical teams: Collaborate closely with our data scientists, software engineers, and NDT experts to integrate the models into our platform.

    Required Profile:

    Compétences techniques :

    • Education: Final-year Master’s (M2) or engineering school student in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
    • Technical skills:
      • Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
      • Knowledge of image processing and computer vision (segmentation, object detection, classification).
      • Familiarity with large-scale data processing (Big Data).
      • Proficiency in Python programming and version control tools (Git).
      • Experience in the NDT field or radiographic imaging is a plus.

      Personal qualities:

      • Intellectual curiosity and initiative to propose innovative solutions.
      • Team player with strong communication skills.
      • Autonomy, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for tackling technical challenges.
